  • Activity

    An activity is a task or assignement that fall into a low level process that have a desired output. In ADAPT an activity is used to define the lowest discrete level in the NSDS logframe. AN activity consists of: events and indicators and is also the preferred budget or cost basis for monitoring the NSDS. The activity is also used to map to other activity based frameworks such as the Cape Town Global Action Plan.

  • Assessment

    ADAPT reviews the ability for a country to produce an indicator through an assessment process. The assessment process is the basis for scoring the country and undertaking a gap analysis. The assessment process of the indicator is divided into various section and include: indicator identification, capacity assessment, disaggregation of the indicator, institutional arrangements, mapping to other indicators. The assessment section provides a measure of the ability of the National Statistical System to autonomously produce the indicator.
